JULIE HIMEL: PLACE AND TIME

Stremmel Gallery presents new paintings by Julie Himel, opening April 10 and continuing through May 10, 2025. Himel’s work departs from a traditional palette, pushing an abstraction of reality through bold color play and mark. The two-dimensional image is challenged by the structural materiality of paint.  The compositions are guided by light as the central character, and as a directive for meandering paths and waterways.
