My father is a painter. I grew up working in his studio sweeping the floor, washing brushes, stretching canvases and organizing paint supplies. When he paints, he protects his worktable with butcher paper that gets saturated with paint within days and sometimes hours.
All my life I’ve watched my father tear off pieces of that paint-spattered paper and use it as gift wrap. It’s amazing to see how he can transform an ordinary package into an art-like object. People are extremely careful when unwrapping his presents, as they want to save the paper. I have seen how great wrapping paper can transform the entire experience of receiving a gift into something truly extraordinary.
The idea that wrapping paper can be a work of art, rather than a generic disposable shell, inspired the creation of Wrapped LLC. With the help of my friend Sam, we have been able to build a company inspired by our California roots. Our products are designed and manufactured locally in Los Angeles to ensure unparalleled quality. For more on Wrapped, click here.
